Children Picture Book Sir Alex and the Missing Toys edition by Michael Yu Rachel Yu Religion Spirituality eBooks
Alex is bored, his mother is cleaning the house so he can't do anything with her, except clean and he definitely doesn't want to do that. Then an idea comes to him and his imagination takes over. His imagination not only entertains him but also teaches his toys important lessons like it's not okay to steal other toy's possessions and if you do something wrong you should apologise. Also don't exclude other toys that are hanging around, maybe they are lonely and would love to be a part of your group and have something to offer to make the day more fun.The illustrations as you come to expect from this author are really well done and high resolution. The text is inside each picture so each new page displays both which is always good so kids can follow what you're reading in the picture. The only problem is the formatting, the images only displays in the top third of the screen but they are clear enough to read as the font used is still large enough.

Children Picture Book Sir Alex and the Missing Toys edition by Michael Yu Rachel Yu Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
My 3 year old loves this book. The pictures are cute and it has a good message about sharing and being nice to others. We've downloaded several kids books for the kindle and this is the only one he has wanted to read over and over.
I don't easily hand out the 5th star. This is a good children's book.
My 6 year old daughter wasn't the only one who enjoyed this read; I was captivated all through.
It has a pretty good, clutter-free plot - the best part for me was that the words are within the images.
I'll certainly be stocking up on the author's other books.
Aidah.
This is an adorable story to read any time. It definitely sparks creativity in a child. I took the story a step further with my son and made it a clean up game ) ... He was the "troll" returning the toys to the toy box. I love that Sir Alex and the missing toys teaches morality as well. Not only that you can't judge by looks, but that there are consequences for your actions, no matter the intention. The story was so fun, my son had no idea he was learning!
My grandson likes this comic style book, he reads it himself, but I think the images could be bigger to show at least half the Fire page. For me its harder to read and the blank space at the bottom is greater than the image on each page. Otherwise I like the images are very colorful. I hope the author updates the image sizes.
The story of Alex and the missing toys was a hit in our house. Alex is bored, but uses his imagination think of a game to play. It teaches the lesson of finding a silver lining in whatever situation you are stuck in.
For those parents like me who end up having to read a book over and over, it is short enough that you can read it to your child in a few minutes, but long enough to get the whole story across. It is full of pictures that accompany the story, so you can distract your child from another reading by asking him about the pictures. It was a very good story.
Sir Alex and the Missing Toys starts with an image of opposites- the cover page shows 2 boys with strikingly different appearances and a large toy bag in front of them.
As a mom, I recommend this book for families- especially as a bed time story. The length is just right, the pictures are engaging and the storyline provides moral tales- this one being you can't judge someone by their appearance.
This story emphasizes the power of imagination, forgiveness and humility. As Alex becomes Sir Alex, the adventure begins and mysteries are solved. Be prepared to be entertained. -)
I loved this book. I really don't think kids get the chance to entertain themselves by being creative and using the imagination they were blessed with enough today. Since the advent of the video game children seem to be bored all the time if they aren't doing something related to a computer of some type. This book encourages children to be more introspective when looking for entertainment. I love the idea that the little boy was able to use common household items and his imagination to create his own fantasy world where he was a knight. The pictures in this book are adorable and the story is well edited and formatted. The only problem I had with this book was that it had to end! Excellent kid's book and fun for the parent too.
